Boone North Carolina Ski Resorts Open and See Snow
The ski resorts of Boone, North Carolina opened this weekend and many of them have saw natural snow on Saturday, December 5th. If you are looking to get some early season skiing in then you might want to call ahead to some of the Boone ski resorts. Sugar Mountain opened on Black Friday while the rest of the resorts opened this weekend. It might be a wise decision to try and get some skiing in before the kids get out of school; you will probably be able to avoid the crowd.
There are many places to stay in and around Boone. By checking VRBO.com you are likely to find several cabin rentals for a discounted rate this time of year. Make sure to check in the areas of Blowing Rock, Jefferson and Fleetwood as well. The snow looks to be gone for a few days so a middle of the week trip could be just what the doctor ordered if you have a few vacation or “sick” days available.
